When using electric furnaces and controllers, additional power should not be exceeded, and the furnace temperature should not exceed the additional operating temperature. It is prohibited to load wet workpieces into the furnace. Heated workpieces containing ultra-high moisture should be pre dried, and the furnace bottom should be carefully cleaned. Metal oxides, slag, and impurities inside the furnace should be promptly removed. When loading and unloading workpieces, caution should be exercised to prevent damage to the silicon carbide rod.
The silicon carbide rod should be placed in a dry place to prevent the aluminum head from becoming damp and molting. If some rods are found to be incandescent while others are dark red during use, it should be clarified that the resistance changes of each rod are different. It is necessary to replace them with rods with similar resistance values before starting from scratch. Silicon carbide rod is a recrystallized product of silicon carbide, which can be corroded by alkali, alkali metal, sulfuric acid, and boron compounds at high temperatures.
